In the fall of 2021, Stephanie was commissioned by the Salem Family YMCA of Marion and Polk County to compose a piece to be included inside a time capsule to be opened in 100 years! The job was to capture the ‘essence of humanity’ in a song (no small feat). Stephanie wrote ‘Stone’s Throw – about the need to reach for each other, in this case, across the veil of a century. In the spring of 2022, she recorded the song backed by a string section and a choir as well as some friends/supporters who joined in on the last sing-a-long chorus.
